I went into this appointment absolutely terrified. A month ago, I had an awful experience at another podiatrist’s office where the numbing process was so painful that I was literally screaming. I honestly feel like I have a little PTSD from that visit, and I could only get one toe done because the pain was unbearable.
This visit was the complete opposite. From the start, the doctor walked me through every step of the procedure and made me feel at ease. I felt only three tiny pinches during the numbing—nothing like the last time—and he was so careful to remove as little of the nail as possible so I could still keep most of it. He even wrapped my toe in a way that kept the cotton from touching raw skin, and I had zero pain.
Yes, I paid out of pocket for this visit because Tricare providers were horrific; I chose this one after reading another review that mentioned it was painless—and it was 100% true. Worth every single penny. I left the office relieved, comfortable, and so grateful.

I received an honest evaluation that did not require any further treatment at this time. I wanted a cyst removed but Dr Harmelin explained that it really wasn’t necessary. That is rare in the world today. I appreciated that.
